MMM completed the full design of this facility, projected staff and space needs, and conducted the Community Based Corrections Plan and planning study for this new regional jail.

The facility houses 24 maximum secure inmates, 48 medium secure inmates, 24 minimum secure inmates, and 24 work-release inmates. Within these numbers are included appropriate facilities for female inmates: med/max-5 and minimum work-release-12. This facility, which was designed with a future capacity of 240 beds, serves Middlesex, Mathews, Essex, King William, and King and Queen Counties.
