As the Chief Mechanical Engineer, Mr. Gay is primarily responsible for the conduct of field investigations, feasibility reports, project management, HVAC and mechanical design, value engieneering, cost estimating, specification writing, and construction phase services for new construction and renovation.

Mr. Gay's ongoing design activities include mechanical design support for eleven light rail stations as part of the new Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) light rail system in Norfolk and as Project Manager for President's Park (Phases I and II) student housing renovations at George Mason University. He was also the lead mechanical engineer for the design of all buildings and support structures (173,000 SF) of the new APM cargo port facility in Portsmouth including the Terminal Operations Building (83,449 SF) and the Vehicle Maintenance Shop facility (40,900 SF).
