MMM performed
various pre-planning, programming, design studies, and related “as-needed” architectural
and engineering design efforts for the Department of Juvenile Justice across
the Commonwealth
of Virginia.
For this project, MMM designed
the upgrades for an existing 19,000 GPD WWTP to increase capacity to 30,000
GPD, including a new 11,000 GPD package treatment
plant, a new lab building, new chlorine feed system, new plant drain pump
station, additional sludge drying facilities, new chlorine contact tank,
and post aeration basin. The facility also included replacement of approximately
3,000 LF of 6-inch and 8-inch gravity sewer.
