MMM worked with standard designs and revised typical module plans to
create the final project design for three bachelor enlisted quarters,
each one a 328-bed facility. MMM provided site surveys, coordinated
the soils investigation work, and provided new foundation designs.
This project consisted
of design of a 20,000 SF dormitory for unaccompanied enlisted personnel.
Design included a reinforced concrete frame building,
concrete floors, roof and foundation, masonry walls, fire protection, utilities
and necessary support structures. The scope of work included room/bathroom combinations, closets,
lounges, centralized storage, laundry, and support warehouses. A module consists
of dual two-man sleeping rooms to form a four-man module. The facility consists
of six stories, perimeter balconies, and stairs.
