Performed a drainage analysis to determine the best location for a new tide gate in a large canal that outfalls to Long Creek. A report describing recommended improvements to the drainage system for this 8-block residential/resort neighborhood near Shore Drive and Great Neck Road was prepared. MMM performed complete topographic surveys and designed detailed drawings for channel widening, utility adjustments, and tide gate construction.

A subsequent phase includes redesign to include a large storm water pump station with a revised tide gate to lower flood levels during high tide storm events. This redesign includes a new three-quarter mile bike path, slip-lining of a 27-inch clay sewer main, and optional landscaping.
