MMM provided engineering services for approximately 1,500 feet of a two-lane approach roadway and a 74 foot-long bridge to span the West Neck Creek. The bridge, which is on a straight alignment, was designed to accommodate two 15-foot lanes and a 10-foot bikeway resulting in a total bridge width of 44 feet 8 inches. The superstructure consisted of asphalt pavement supported by 21 inch-deep by 4 foot-wide precast prestressed concrete slab units spanning approximately 36 feet. The substructure consisted of concrete pile bents and shelf type abutments. The bridge supports two 4-inch power conduits and three 3-inch diameter telephone conduits.
